Julie Hoy must resign
Friends and neighbors, we deserve a mayor who serves the public interest, not special interests. Salem has given Mayor Hoy multiple chances to demonstrate ethical leadership. Instead, we’ve experienced a consistent pattern of putting donors before constituents and personal interests before the public good.
Think of it this way: the recent article from the Salem Reporter shows that after recent state ethics investigation findings, Julie Hoy’s City Council colleagues can’t even trust a conversation with her. It is unreasonable for Salem to tolerate another year of Julie Hoy’s poor judgment.
