We’re excited to invite you to Salem YIMBY’s second event: Housing 101!
At this gathering, we’ll share a more focused and concise version of our problem statement and mission pitch for new attendees. From there, we’ll dive into some exciting updates on the projects and engagement opportunities we’re working on.Here’s a sneak peek!
Advocacy: Our first major initiative is an eviction prevention campaign. With the Legislature’s special session beginning August 29th, we’ll be preparing for both immediate action and the upcoming short session. We are partnering with groups such as Portland: Neighbors Welcome among others.
Service: We’re partnering with Habitat for Humanity on a Salem Rotary grant application to host a large volunteer build, engaging students from local high schools in meaningful, hands-on work.
We’d love to see you there and continue building momentum together for housing solutions in Salem.
