This session will be led by a Certified Senior Health Insurance Benefits Assistance (SHIBA) Counselor. SHIBA is a federal program which provides trained counselors to provide unbiased help, advice, and education to anyone with questions about Medicare.
This presentation will cover how Medicare works, how and when to enroll, supplemental insurance options, assistance for people with low income and resources, and how to prevent, detect, and report Medicare waste, fraud, and abuse.
