Bylaws and Standing Rules form the backbone of our organization.

Bylaws define who we are, what we try to achieve, general rules to guide the operations of our organization. In addition, they set down procedures for responding to new issues or situations. Standing rules supplement our bylaws by defining policies relating to the administration of our organization.

Marion County Democrats are organized according to our official bylaws. The goals of the Central Committee are to:

• Elect Democratic candidates to public offices at all levels of government,
• Assist with the recruitment of candidates,
• Support campaigns,
• Assist with funding whenever possible,
• Promote and communicate Democratic values and principles.
