2021 Salem-Keizer School Board Race

This year, 2021, is a very important year for the Salem-Keizer School Board. The districts this up for the May 18, 2021 election are for zones 1,3,5,7.  Currently voting is done districtwide and not by zone. Meaning if you are located in Zone 2 you still vote for all other zones.

A Latinx mother and rules advisor on the Oregon Student Success Act, Karina has a Masters in Social Work and works at the Early Learning Division, Oregon Department of Education.

Michael Vasquez is a proud son of immigrant farmworkers and a lifelong resident of Woodburn. Having graduated from Woodburn High School in 2016 and the University of Oregon in 2020, Michael brings a unique and much-needed perspective of the current & future challenges our students face and will encounter in the aftermath of this pandemic.
